RYDR, LLC, an Iowa limited liability company, values user privacy and is committed to being clear about how information is collected, used, shared, stored, and protected when users access or use the RYDR mobile application, website, and related services.

This Privacy Policy applies to the RYDR mobile application, website, user accounts, profiles, rydes, charity rydes, auctions, leaderboards, in-app messaging, push notifications, support communications, and any other services operated by RYDR, LLC.

Location and mileage data may not always be accurate. Data may be affected by device settings, network conditions, GPS availability, battery settings, app permissions, operating system limitations, or technical errors.

Users may control certain location permissions through device settings. If location permissions are disabled, some RYDR features may not function properly.

RYDR does not use location data to track users across apps and websites owned by other companies unless RYDR separately discloses that practice and obtains any required user permission.

6. How We Share Information

RYDR does not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of exchanging personal information for money. RYDR may share information as described below.

6.1 With Event Organizers

If you join, participate in, submit, bid on, pay through, or otherwise interact with a specific ryde, charity ryde, event, or auction, RYDR may share event-specific information with the organizer of that event.

7. Tracking, Advertising, and Analytics

RYDR does not currently use third-party advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or similar tools unless otherwise disclosed in the app or this Privacy Policy.

RYDR does not currently intend to track users across apps and websites owned by other companies for targeted advertising or advertising measurement.

If RYDR later adds advertising, analytics, attribution, remarketing, tracking SDKs, or similar technologies, RYDR will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notices or permissions, including any permissions required by Apple’s AppTrackingTransparency framework where applicable.

RYDR will not require users to allow tracking as a condition of using core app functionality unless permitted by applicable law and platform rules.

8. Apple App Store Privacy Disclosure Alignment

RYDR intends for its App Store privacy disclosures to accurately reflect its actual data collection and use practices.

Depending on the final app build, RYDR may need to disclose the following data categories in App Store Connect:

Because RYDR involves public/community features, user-generated content, messaging, ride activity, location-related information, and events involving motorized activities, minors should use RYDR only with the knowledge, permission, and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Users under 18 should be accompanied by a responsible adult when participating in any ryde, event, charity ryde, auction-related pickup, meetup, or activity discovered through or organized on RYDR.

If a parent or legal guardian believes that RYDR has collected personal information from a child under 13 without proper consent, they may contact RYDR at support@joinrydr.com. RYDR will review the request and take appropriate action, which may include deleting the information or disabling the account.

13. Account Deletion and Data Deletion Requests

RYDR supports account-based features. Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information through the app where available or by contacting support@joinrydr.com.

RYDR intends to provide an in-app account deletion option that allows users to initiate account deletion from within the app.

When an account deletion request is made, RYDR may take reasonable steps to verify the request and confirm that the request was made by the account holder. Once verified, RYDR will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account, unless retention is required or permitted for legal, safety, financial, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement, or operational reasons.

Deleting an account may remove or disable access to:

  • Profile information

  • User content

  • Ride history

  • Leaderboard participation

  • Messages

  • Event participation

  • Auction participation

  • Account settings

Some content or records may remain visible or retained where necessary to preserve event records, auction records, safety reports, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute history, or financial records.

RYDR may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When updates are made, RYDR may update the “Last Updated” date, provide in-app notice, send a notification, or use another reasonable method of notice.

Your continued use of RYDR after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.

Recommended Apple App Store Implementation Notes

The Privacy Policy should be linked in two places:

  1. The App Store Connect privacy policy URL field

  2. Inside the RYDR app in an easily accessible location, such as Account Settings, Legal, Privacy, or Help

RYDR should also make sure the app includes:

  • An in-app account deletion option

  • Clear permission prompts for location, photos/camera, and notifications

  • A way to report inappropriate content

  • A way to block abusive users

  • Published support contact information

  • Accurate App Store privacy nutrition label responses

  • Accurate disclosure of all third-party SDKs and services

  • Updated privacy language before adding analytics, ads, attribution, crash reporting, or tracking tools

Suggested iOS Permission Purpose Strings

These are suggested plain-language examples for the app developer to customize in the iOS configuration.

Location While Using App:
RYDR uses your location while you use the app to track rydes, calculate mileage and distance, support weekly activity totals, and power ride-related features.

Photo Library:
RYDR uses photo access only when you choose to upload profile photos, ride photos, event photos, charity ryde photos, or auction images.

Camera:
RYDR uses camera access only when you choose to take a photo for your profile, a ryde, an event, a charity ryde, or an auction listing.

Push Notifications:
RYDR uses notifications to send app updates related to rydes, events, charity rydes, auctions, messages, reminders, account activity, and safety or support notices.

Draft App Store Privacy Label Mapping

The final App Store Connect answers must match the app’s actual code, SDKs, and backend behavior. Based on the current planned RYDR functionality, the likely App Store privacy categories may include:

Data Linked to the User

  • Contact Info: name, email address, phone number if collected

  • User Content: photos, messages, descriptions, profile content, event submissions, auction listings

  • Location: approximate location and ride-related location information while using the app

  • Identifiers: user ID, app-specific account ID, device/app identifiers if collected

  • Purchases: auction/payment transaction information if collected

  • Usage Data: app interactions, rydes completed, mileage, leaderboard activity, event participation

  • Diagnostics: only if crash/performance data is collected now or later

Possible Purposes of Collection

  • App Functionality

  • User Account Management

  • Product Personalization, if leaderboard/profile/activity personalization is used

  • Analytics, only if analytics are implemented

  • Developer Communications

  • Fraud Prevention, Security, and Compliance

  • Payment Processing

Tracking

Based on the current plan, RYDR should likely answer that it does not track users across apps and websites owned by other companies, unless future analytics, advertising, attribution, remarketing, or third-party SDKs create tracking under Apple’s rules.

If future tools are added, the developer should reassess whether AppTrackingTransparency permission is required.
